Chun Jang is Korean version of black bean sauce. Its main ingredient is soybean and flour. Soybean is fermented with flour and salt. Then, caramel colouring is added before the aging process. Chun Jang is mainly used to make Jjajangmyun, Korean noodles with black bean sauce. Sometimes it's used as one of the seasonings in meat stir-fry.

Substitutions: 
It's difficult replace Chun Jang with any other sauces in Korean cuisine. The closest thing may be Chinese Black Bean Sauce.
How to Measure: 
1/4 cup can be used to make sauce for 1 person
Storage: 
Seal tightly and keep it in the refrigerator (1ºC~5ºC).
Preparation: 
Stir-fry quickly on high heat in vegetable oil before using to make sauces. (The ratio is chun jang: vegetable oil = 1:1.)
