⅓ cupGochujang (Hot Pepper Paste) 고추장
1 tbsSugar 설탕
1 tspMul Yeot / Malt (Maltose) Syrup 물엿 (or jocheong (korean rice syrup))
2 tspGarlic (minced) 다진 마늘
2 tspSesame Seeds 깨

1. Cut

Cut 100g of dried shredded squid into bite-sized pieces.

2. Make seasoning sauce

Put 2 teaspoons of vegetable oil, ⅓ cup of gochujang (hot pepper paste) and 2 teaspoons of minced garlic and sauté in a pot on low heat for 3 min. Stir frequently.

  • 2 tsp vegetable oil
  • ⅓ cup gochujang (hot pepper paste)
  • 2 tsp minced garlic

3. Finish seasoning sauce

Add 3 teaspoons of sugar and 1 teaspoon of mulyeot (Korean malt syrup). Sauté for 1 min. And turn off the heat.

4. Mix

Add the dried shredded squid into the sauce and mix thoroughly.

5. Cool down

Let it cool for 5 min. Then, sprinkle 2 teaspoons of sesame seeds and mix.
